1. i am a nerd. a big. fat. nerd. i love reading manga. i love watching anime. i love it. don't be jealous because you haven't discovered the wonder yet. :]

2. i am more artistically inclined. my right side of the brain is wayyyyyyyy more dominant. i have not a speck of logic on my side. yeah. i live a hard life. lol. i loveeee drawing. i loooooove music. music is like my brain. i can't live without it.

3. going along with the subject above, i think i'm more..nocturnal? lol. i just work better at night. things turn out better whether it be a painting or a sketch. yes. and that is why i usually am really freaking tired in the mornings.

4. touch my ears and die. i can't stand it when people touch my ears. like. i will honestly cry. or bite you. i've just had bad experiences. the only time i'm okay with it is if that person is piercing my ears. then we're good. :]

5. eff all of the other candy in the world. my weakness is the butter mint. it's just the best confectionery i can imagine. i mean. it's creamy. and it's minty. and it's just sooooo good. the only way you can buy it is through party places though. and they usually say like..IT'S A BOY!!! ehh. whatever. sacrifices.

6. i identify myself as an agnostic now. i used to believe that i was a non-practicing christian (whatever that means). but i got tired of how people told me i was going to hell because i didn't go to church. (they also think that by grabbing me and preaching to me is going to save my soul.) i think it's ridiculous that just because certain people belong to a certain religion they feel that they can dictate how other people can live. uhh. who went and made them jesus? i could really give a shit if they think i'm going to hell. 'do not judge, or you too will be judged' (matthew 7:1-2)

7. i have a genuine phobia of spores. yes the ones under ferns. yes. i am furreal. i have cried after someone shoved them in my face once. i will get chills and it's just not a good experience. i hate spores. i'll probably dropkick you if you decide to show me them.

8. no. i do not have my license yet. nor do i have my permit. i am a permit/license-less bum who mooches off of people. but that will soon change. pleaseeeee. i'm not even eighteen yet.

9. i am korean therefore there seems to be this unwritten rule that i have to be good at math. well. tough. shit. i suck at math. my forte is english and literature. i love a good book. and although my junior english honors class left me analyzing the hell out of everything, it's given me a new perspective on the subject. i'd rather read jane eyre than do a single trig problem. (not that i would know how to do it anyway. lol.)

10. i love acoustic anything. guitar is preferable. but seriously. play anything semi-well on a guitar and you've got yourself a fan. i love you already. :]

so. went to sleep way earlier than usual. around 11:30. i was tired after doing absolute shit at the beach. me and nicki just slept until alex and melissa got there with the food. lol.

but yeah. woke up at around 4 in the morning. and haven't slept since. ohhh. how i love weird sleeping schedules. but on that note.

someone have babies already. so then i can buy your baby this onesie. hahaha.

kollaboration

hm yes. so i got an email from kollaboration. and they're having a meeting for people who want to be a part of staff for this year. but sadly. no tengo carro. maybe next year?

but yes. the first time i went to kollaboration was last year. i went with my cousins.

it was pretty much amazing.

i mean. so much talent in one place. i was really impressed with the theater as well. orpheum makes it so you can pretty much see the stage from whereever you sit. the audience was freaking bomb. and the impromptu dancing contest after intermission. priceless.

so yes. i totally recommend that everyone goes. it's an amazing experience. and i'm planning going this year as well. (through any means possible. lol.) it's somewhere in february. so definitely watch out for it.

from what i remember. my favorite acts were.. quest? i think. and i really liked the connie lim band too. yesssssss. it's that good. go watch in february. enough plugging for today. :]

field trip.

so we went to ikea today so i can get some dorm stuff.

i got comforters because i plan to get sheets at target. :]

this is the one i got. but it's a twin size. i figured it shouldn't really matter comforter wise if it's twin or twin xl. also got some tupperware stuff. so i can eat and store food. i was really sad that they didn't have the comforter that i wanted in the first place. really sad. of course. they had it in king and queen but no twin. :[

so i played sims 2 castaway on my ds for like 3 hours straight yesterday.

yes. it's that addicting. my sim currently is wearing a pirate hat and i'ved dyed her clothes to different colors with bugs. *sigh* i need a life.

i read this article a couple days ago about how a 16 year old dropped out of high school (and his parents let him?!) so that he could dedicate all of his time to playing guitar hero.

so i went to the beach yesterday. and my cold came back. not going to lie. it's pretty bad this time. lol.

went to the mall to buy some gifts for the cousins back in korea. and then went to costco. bought a whole bunch of healthy food. decided that 'letting myself go' is not the way to go. lol. bought these awesome veggie patties. they're muy delicioso. just nuke 'em for thirty seconds and they're ready.

added a whole bunch of people from spop. (<3) tomorrow is my daddy's and uncle's (surprise) birthday party. (they're twins.) super excited. they're turning the big five-oh and we even have a theme.

spop 9

so. this is my new home i suppose. i moved from xanga to blogspot because i kinda want a chance to comment on my friends' blogs as well.

so monday to tuesday was my spop. which is basically orientation. i honestly really didn't have any expectations. my friends said it was super fun. but i have this habit of being a bit of a hermit when meeting new people. once i get used to it i'm fine but until then. *zip*


the morning was pretty whatever. woke up super early. (well, early for summer anyway.) took a shower. and my papa took me to my future school.

oh and btw. this was only the second time being to the campus. i took two placements tests on sunday. (which i also royally fucked up.)

anyways. i arrived and it was total chaos. i didn't know whether to be brave and look around. or go sit in a corner and call someone. lol. my nervous habit.


i was directed to go sit in this huge conference room. it slowly filled up and from there was pretty monotonous. speeches on what we'd be doing. what to expect. what is expected.

then we split by schools. i stayed with the bio scio people. the lecture officially scared me shitless. for those who don't know. bio was not really 100% my choice as a major. i'm kinda just going with the flow on that one. but anyways. yeah. my future courses are like super intense. not to mention filled with subjects that i hate. hate. hate. (made registering classes suck. i've never been so depressed. lol. all five days have classes. :[ )


blegh. anyways. from there. the fun started. got to hang with my hall people.

Otero baby.

we had the best staffers. it's insane how awesome they are. they're incredibly sincere and not to mention hella fun to hang with. the two days at spop were an incredible bonding experience. and totally changed my perspective of UCI. i can honestly say that i love my spop family for making me see how lucky i am to be able to go to irvine.

i mean, who else can make people cry after only spending 48 hours together? (btw. the touch game is the shittiest game ever. i had mascara all up in my eye from crying. and the ipod music in the background totally didn't help. lol.)

i'm super excited for school to start now. but definitely am up to living up this summer. started it off well with a trip to korea and japan. but it also meant that it ate up a month and a week of my summer. i'm sending off one of my besties to indiana for college on the 28th. (nickiiiiiiiiiiii) need to start shopping around for dorm stuff. spend as much time as i can with mis amigas y amigos.

i just want to make the most of it.
